How to download the Microsoft Authenticator app

   The Authenticator app is a free, secure mobile tool for both android and iso that enhances account security by using multi-factor Authentication ( MFA). It supports all types of accounts from personal to work or school. It gives you a second layer of protection. You can access the app in the App store or Google Play store. The app requires iso 16.0 or later for iso and for android it will require android 8.0 or newer. There is no desktop version.

 

 

 

In order to setup the authenticator app school account you will have to have access to a second device or computer. By using the second device you are able to access and generate the needed code required to setup the account.

 

 

1. sign in using your school email address ending in cmn.edu ( using same username and passwords your cmn.edu email)

2. Select add sign-in method

3. Select Microsoft Authenticator app from the dropdown menu and select ADD (if you already have Authenticator app on your phone with an account linked just select NEXT to display a QR code)

4. Open your Authenticator app on your phone and select the plus icon + and select ADD ACCOUNT

5. Select school account then tap Scan QR code

 

 

 

                                                                                               Note

If you can't scan a QR code just click Can't Scan the image on your computer and tap enter code manually on your mobile device.
